5 Bars For Super-sized Cocktails

They say bigger is better, and while that isn't always the case, when it comes to our booze, we definitely agree. Punch bowl cocktails made for sharing have been popping up on menus everywhere these days, so naturally, we've rounded up 5 of our current favourites. Send a few texts, make a reservation and head on down to any of these joints with your friends for a fabulously boozy evening.

The Powder Room

The Black Swan’s upstairs treasure might be small, but serves you more than well when you are thirsty. The mere sight of the Flying Swan cocktail bowl is already worth the effort of getting there. Presented in a stunning silver and glass bowl, the cocktail is fuelled with gin, vodka and sherry. The smoothness of it comes through the elderflower notes as well as the peach and lychee puree. If you desire elegance in combination with taste, then you know where to fulfil these wishes – all for just $88.

Maison Ikkoku Bar

For those who want it even classier, Maison Ikkoku offers a champagne treat at $298. The champagne bowl is just as sweet as the life with champagne is supposed to be. Refreshed with berries, gin rum and a little vodka, the punch bowl is a true classic (although often wrongly considered un-classy) and rich in taste. Can’t really say no to such an offer, can you?

28 KongKong

The hyped up and painfully trendy cocktail bar doesn’t just get attention in the industry for their bespoke cocktail experiences, but also for their punches. Not many people might know it, but you can get one heck of a punch over here. Serving up to 20, the Mediterranean-inspired drink comes at $230. Powered by Catalan cava Freixenet and tequila, one can also taste citrus fruit notes and agave nectar.

MeatLiquor SIN

You've definitely seen the photos on social media. Cheekily called The Kameltoe ($90), this sharing-sized cocktail features black pepper infused vodka, Kamm & Sons, elderflower and their house made ginger syrup. The strong flavours of this cocktail would pair easily with any of their food, and the laid back atmosphere of the joint should get you in the mood for a strong buzz!

Jigger & Pony

If you are looking for a variety of punches for the night, then this joint along Amoy Street will certainly do! The Zombie, Chatham Artillery and the Pisco Punch all come at $220. While the Zombie is based on the classic lethal cocktail, the Artillery fires with bourbon, cognac and rum, and the Pisco lets you off (somewhat) easily with its smooth and fruity flavours.
