5 Best Bars of 2014 (So Far)

The year is just 1 month shy from hitting the halfway mark, and the number of bars that have opened since we clinked champagne glasses on New Year's is staggering. Not that we're complaining- because if this first half of the year is any indication what the next half will be like, well, so much for that liver cleanse, am I right? It's not quite #throwbackthursday yet, but check out our round up of the 5 bars that we're so grateful are around for 2014- we're already looking forward to writing this article again in December.

What we love: Not only does the bar decides what you drink, the drinks are always fantastic.

Concept: Bespoke cocktail bar with an international twist

What we love: The elegant 'gentlemen's club' decor and their world map that features an international lineup of guest bartenders who will be making an appearance at the bar.

Concept: Reinvented cocktail classics with a twist and a whole page of tonic-based drinks.

What we love: That they grow some of the fruit and vegetable themselves and the asian fusion bar bites.

Concept: Local cuisine-inspired cocktails. Think chill crab and milo dinosaur cocktails.

What we love: The throwback to childhood memories, but with a deliciously adult twist.

Concept: Forgotten cocktail classics from the boroughs of Manhattan.

What we love: They have their own whiskey barrel storage space and an ingredient room with over 250 fruits, herbs, salts and sugars.
