Prefaced by experimentation, minimal-intervention and intense localism, natural wines have taken the vinous community by storm. This August, SKIRT is partnering up with the brightest of the Barossa Valley’s new-wave Australian winemakers to bring you a 4-course gastronomic presentation.
With a menu handpicked by head honcho Chef Paolo Sanapo, curated to symphonize with the elegant, the robust and the sweet, sparks fly as we wed SKIRT’s culinary finesse with the Chaffey expertise in winemaking in this 5-night only series.
On opening night, 14th August, complete the experience with first-hand commentary from the winemaker Theo Engela himself, brilliant mind and co-founder behind Chaffey Bros Wine Co., specially flown in from the Barossa Valley for this exclusive evening.
For $190++ per person, enjoy the full spread with wine pairings, prepping the palette with House-made Bread with Bordier and Salted Butter, before kicking things off with Foie Gras with Kumquat Jam paired with Not Your Grandma’s Rosé. Next up, indulge in Calamari Sobrassada paired with Triplepunkt Old Vine Riesling, followed by Duck with Salsify, Black Cabbage and Beetroot with Morel Cherry Sauce paired with La Conquista. Finally, finish things off on a sweet note with Chocolate Soufflé with Red Wine Sorbet.
