Three Masterclasses featuring different wine makers. Each session covers a different topic focusing on natural wines and consists of a meet-and-greet session, as well as a chance to interact with the different wine makers.
12pm — “C’est pas la mer a Loire”
As global warming pushes wines into uncharted terroir, this masterclass discusses the recent challenges surrounding soil, terroir and climate changes that affect winemaking and the importance of biodiversity and ethical winemaking in the Loire Valley, one of the key regions of natural wine production in France.
2pm — Spirited Away
In this masterclass, meet Laurent Cazotte, a farmer and master artisan from the Tarn, South of France. He produces some of the highest quality spirits in the world. Learn about his philosophies on farming biodynamically, his dedication to the indigenous bounty of the land and techniques and skills used in relation to tradition and history.
4pm — Naked Revolution
The natural wine movement is the purest expression of the most crucial far-reaching trend in winemaking: a renewed focus on organic and biodynamic farming. This masterclass takes a look at the history of natural wines, its struggles and benefits, issues and techniques to resolve faultiness and the future of natural wines.
